ESG LAB trains and guides SMEs in the blue economy sector on ESG reporting and aligns their activities with the EU Green Deal. The project aims to create an ESG community of practice among SMEs and stakeholders, promoting knowledge sharing and support within their sector and region. Overall, the ESG LAB project is a promising initiative for promoting sustainable practices in the business community.
ESG LAB has four activities: 1. Management and dissemination of ESG Lab in established Blue Economy sectors, 2. Development of content and educational materials and tools (i.e., 15 webinars, toolkit, ESG e-quiz, e-library, and database), 3. Creation of a virtual community of practice with experts in established sectors of the Blue Economy, 4. Pilot mentoring (training in ESG reporting using the project's content and tools for 75 SMEs) . The mentoring will help 15 SMEs implement the ESG reporting strategy. Offering free access to reliable information, specialized knowledge, and tools to media managers and staff is expected to lead to a higher level of understanding and adoption of ESG reporting on their part, increased upgrading of skills in the use of ESG reporting standards, and improved SME ethics towards them.
